QSR Webcast

Merchant Link and QSR, the leading publication for food service executives and operators, recently co-hosted a webcast on credit card security
and PCI compliance concerns.

The webinar was moderated by QSR Associate Publisher Greg Sanders.
It featured:

  • Chris Justice, President of Merchant Link;
  • Richard Delvalle, Director of Restaurant Systems at Friendly's;
  • John Koontz, SVP/CIO of Real Mex Restaurants Inc.; and,
  • Michael L. Herman, Chief Compliance Officer, Chase Paymentech Solutions and a member of both Visa's Fraud Roundtable and the PCI Security Standards Council Board of Advisors.

The panel addressed new and evolving risks and threats in credit card security and their impact on restaurant operators. The discussion included: how to avoid risk; implications for franchisors, franchisees, and independents; compliance requirements in layman's terms; penalties explained; best practices for compliance; and relying on vendors to ensure compliance.
