Thank you again to the Ensemble IQ and HTNG teams for putting on a great show. The combination of these two organizations has produced a terrific conference. The intimacy of the old HTF show is still intact but the addition of the HTNG workgroup members has added a deeper dive into various technology areas. While I don’t participate in the workgroup sessions, I understand from our team members who do we had some great sessions, including the contactless group led by Michael Chall from Visa. Those who have certified contactless know how painful it can be, so we appreciate this very valuable group’s efforts to provide insight and, hopefully, to streamline the process.
Merchant Link also joined the HTNG API registry this year. It will be very interesting to see what comes out of this. It got Christian McMahon geeked up, so I’m betting this could be an interesting new group to come out of this year’s conference.
I didn’t attend as many sessions this year, but I did attend the Demystifying GDPR: Everything You Need to Know and Are Afraid to Ask session. The presenters did a fantastic job and the session was quite helpful, but I am not sure I am any more demystified after this session. Again, no fault to the presenters who are clearly experts in this field, but GDPR is no small matter. The variables and nuances are tremendous and I imagine it will take some time for GDPR to be well understand and implemented properly by those affected.
Thank you to all the clients who stopped by, it was great to see everyone and thank you to all who attended our dinner and festivities. A great time was had as always! See you again at HITEC!
